Almond MYLK
Got MYLK? When life gives you Cashews and all the Cashew Milk is gone off the shelves, you make Super Simple Creamy Cashew Almond MYLK. When quarantine began toilet paper and paper towels became non-existent to shelves, which became our new normal and shortly after everything else including Cashew Milk became non-existent for a while. So i found myself saying “I guess i’ll just have to make it myself.” Once I made the first batch I haven’t bought milk from the store. one carton of milk from the store.
Why do I call it MYLK? Well when nut milk hit the scene dairy farmers were a bit upset because real true milk comes from an animal. So out of respect for the hardworking dairy farmers I call my special batch MYLK. Plus it tastes amazing, but don't just take my word for it try making it. What i enjoy about homemade Cashew mylk is that you’re able to play around with the amount of sweetness and infused flavors. I definitely enjoy the classic vanilla flavor. I started using vanilla bean paste but nothing beat the pure vanilla bean itself. Well you know i had to try making a chocolate mylk as well. Let's just say chocolate, cinnamon, with a dash of sea salt is truly an amazing combination. Talk about love at first gulp!
Homemade mylk is more than just tasty and simple to make. It's a great source of protein, 5 grams in a serving. I usually add mine to protein shakes or my mug cakes. The leftover cashew grounds I use in power protein balls which are an amazing snack so no food loss! Lastly i love making my own mylk cause it's important that i know what i am consuming. The main benefit of making nut milk at home is that you have total control over the ingredients that are used. That means no excess sugar, no gums, no binders, and no preservatives. This recipe is made with only natural sweeteners and whole food ingredients! On top of that cashews are a great source of omega-6 fatty acids, magnesium, and potassium. Probably the most delicious guilt free mylk you’ve ever had!
